Sometimes programming a theater can be difficult. Especially this time of year, heading into awards season, when there is almost too much good stuff out there. Times like these, we like to turn to you, our loyal customers to see what you want us to show. After polling via our social media we narrowed it down to a few films that had the most demand. At the top of that list were Selma and Wild. And guess what? BOTH are opening this Friday! Tickets are now available. Here are the showtimes:

Selma (PG-13)
Fri: (4:15), 7:00, 9:40
Sat: (11:00 AM), (1:30), (4:15), 7:00, 9:40
Sun: (11:00 AM), (1:30), (4:15), 7:00
Mon – Thu: (4:15), 7:00

Wild (R)
Fri: (4:45), 7:15, 9:50
Sat: (11:30 AM), (2:00), (4:45), 7:15, 9:50
Sun: (11:30 AM), (2:00), (4:45), 7:15
Mon – Thu: (4:45), 7:15

Speaking of polling via social media – we asked if anybody wanted to see The Interview here at CinemaSalem and got an overwhelmingly positive response. So guess what? We’re bringing it in for a ONE TIME show on Thursday, January 22nd at 8:00 PM! Tickets are on sale now. Get them before they’re gone!

While we’re on the subject of one time shows, our first special screening of 2015 is going to be the cult classic Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure! Showing at 8:30 PM on Sunday, January 18th, Bill & Ted will be free for kickstarter backers and friends of CinemaSalem 2015 card holders, and our everyday low prices for everybody else! Tickets are now on sale!

I’m sure y’all want to know about the screening room while you’re here too, huh? Starting this Friday, January 9th is the Israeli made comedy Zero Motivation. Following that, on January 16th is another film we’ve been getting requests for – the Iranian vampire western, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. And starting January 30th we will have the always popular Oscar Nominated short films in all 3 categories – Live Action, Documentary, and Animation.

With all of this awesomeness, January is shaping up to be a great month for us. Hopefully you agree!
