With the award season in full swing, sometimes we pass over Sundance Festival completely. NOT TODAY! I was looking through some of the films debuting and there are quite a few that took my interest, but there is always one that stands out more than the rest. Now I’m not sure if this film will be amazing or not, but it looks like it can guarantee entertainment. The film I am talking about is called Frank. It comes from the direction skill of Lenny Abrahamson (What Richard Did) and the script of Jon Ronson (Men Who Stare at Goats) and Peter Straughan (Men Who Stare at Goats, The Debt, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy). Just like the goat movie Ronson was inspired by a true story. He stayed with a comedian/musician for awhile named Chris Sievey and yes, he had a prop head pretty darn close to what you will see in the clip (Info from /Film). It is about a man named Frank who inspires his band and who ever he meets to be as inspired by the world around them to create music. The movie stars Michael Fassbender (Frank), Maggie Gyllenhaal, Scoot McNairy, and Domhnall Gleeson. It is going to be one of those quirky/comedy films that is more entertaining than head tilting. Don’t get me wrong though, there will be plenty of head tilting. Now check out the clip!
