ParaNorman, the new film from Laika, the animation house behind the excellent Coraline hits theaters in August of 2012 and we now have our first look at the film thanks to a teaser poster and teaser trailer. ParaNorman tells the story of “a misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead, takes on ghosts, zombies and moronic grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse.” Sounds and looks like it will have that same great blend of childhood innocence and macabre atmosphere that helped make Coraline such a great film. Count me in, there aren’t enough creepy kids flicks these days.
