We have a pretty big Thursday heading our way with two very big movies showing on our big screens. First at 7pm we have the premiere of the last installment of the Hunger Games series. Mockingjay Part 2 is opening up with very solid positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes! With Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen we see how the war comes to and an end.

“As the war of Panem escalates to the destruction of other districts by the Capitol, Katniss Everdeen, the reluctant leader of the rebellion, must bring together an army against President Snow, while all she holds dear hangs in the balance.” –IMDB

At 8pm we have a special one time show of Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas. Celebrating it’s 25th anniversary, Warner Bros. Studio has restored it to amazing 4K.

If you haven’t seen this movie before the synopsis goes a little like this, “Henry Hill is a small time gangster, who takes part in a robbery with Jimmy Conway and Tommy De Vito, two other gangsters who have set their sights a bit higher. His two partners kill off everyone else involved in the robbery, and slowly start to climb up through the hierarchy of the Mob. Henry, however, is badly affected by his partners’ success, but will he stoop low enough to bring about the downfall of Jimmy and Tommy?” -Colin Tinto.

If you are a Kickstarter Backer or a Friend’s of CinemaSalem subscriber this show will be free of charge.
