We don’t talk about music a ton on this blog, but this week seems to be an exception. First music from the Muppets, and now, news of an album from acclaimed director David Lynch (The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks). As an avid Lynch fan, I’ve always said that one of his defining characteristics as a film maker is his uncanny ability to use sound to create very specific moods.  Should be interesting to see if he can duplicate the effect on what is being characterized as a “modern blues” album. I for one am excited to see what he comes up with.  All of the albums songs are written by Lynch where he provides both vocals and guitar. Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (another favorite of mine) does  guest vocals. The album is due out November 8th. Read the full story at THR.
