I just have so many bits of exciting Cafe news that I’m just busting to tell you!  First, and most importantly, our Fall Specials are here and you know what that means: Hot Caramel Apple Cider (with whipped cream!  Trust us, you have to try it–it’s just incredible!), pumpkin spice lattes and hot chocolate, and all sorts of other assorted fall goodies.

Looking for something low-key to do this weekend as tourist season gets underway?  Any Salem State University or North Shore Community College students need a place to study or catch up on reading?  Or maybe you are just looking for a fun and affordable way to spend an evening?  The CinemaSalem Cafe has you covered on all fronts!  We offer free WiFi to our customers, so come grab a milkshake or muffin and get your study on.  For those seeking entertainment, we’ll be showing a wide range of free films on our super deluxe big screen all weekend long.  Here’s the schedule of what you can expect to see:

5:15: Thunderheart-A young mixed-blood FBI agent is assigned to work with a cynical veteran investigator on    a murder on a poverty-stricken Sioux reservation.

8:00: Close Encounters of the Third Kind- After an encounter with UFOs, a line worker feels undeniably drawn to an isolated area in the wilderness where something spectacular is about to happen.

SATURDAY: An Evening of Classics

3:45: The Fortune Cookie- Starring Jack Lemmon and Walther Matthau, A crooked lawyer persuades his brother-in-law to feign a serious injury.

6:00: The Wheeler Dealers- Henry Tyroone comes to New York from Texas with a lot of oil money to play with in the stock market. He meets stock analyst Molly Thatcher and the two fall in love.

8:00: Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans- Widely regarded as the best silent film ever made, 1928’s ‘Sunrise’ tells the story of a married farmer who falls under the spell of a slatternly woman from the city, who tries to convince him to drown his wife.

Keep us in mind this weekend: we’ll be ready to go with our steam wands, tasty treats, and entertaining flicks!
