According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ray Liotta has joined the already impressive cast of Andrew Dominik’s Cogan’s Trade. Liotta joins Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Casey Affleck, Richard Jenkins, Sam Rockwell, Mark Ruffalo, and James Gondolfini in the film about a “professional enforcer who must investigate a heist that took place during a high-stakes poker game under protection of the mob.” After Dominik’s excellent The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, I’ve been keeping an eye on what his next film will be. Looks like Cogan’s Trade is going into production before his other directorial effort, Blonde, a Marilyn Munroe biopic starring Naomi Watts. Even though Cogan’s Trade hasn’t started filming yet, it’s definitely at the top of my list of must see films for 2012, with the cast and director it has.
